Carla Jones was elected to the Board of Directors for the Arizona Fiduciaries Association at the Annual Conference in February.

New Bills
HB2377 proposes procedures for persons under limited guardianship to retain the right to vote.
New Laws
House Bills 2211, 2402, 2403 and 2424, and Senate Bills 1081 and 1499 passed into law on July 20, 2011.
Portions of SB1499 became effective February 1, 2012, with the remainder becoming effective September 1, 2012.
The new forms have been posted on the ACJA Forum. The comment period is now closed.
New Petitions
Two rule amendment petitions have been submitted that relate to probate. Comment period is until May21, 2012.

We are not a law firm and we are not lawyers. We cannot and will not give legal advice. The Fiduciary Program is administered by the Arizona Supreme Court. To become a Licensed Fiduciary by the State of Arizona, a person must demonstrate a minimum level of education and experience, pass thorough background and credit checks and pass an examination demonstrating competency in Guardianship, Conservatorship and Personal Representative issues. The applicant must be conversant in the adjudication process, mandatory duties, surrogate decision making and financial administration and management and show familiarity with ARS §§ 14 and 46.

Northern Arizona Fiduciaries, Inc. is licensed and bonded and adheres to the standards promulgated in ACJA §§7-201, 7-202. NAF operates under Arizona Supreme Court License # 20198 and Supreme Court oversight. NAF strictly upholds the Fiduciary Code of Conduct found in ACJA §7-202(J). NAF also is held to national standards of practice and ethics.

We specialize in Consultation Services, Guardianships, Conservatorships, Personal Representative and Power of Attorney, Trustee and Successor Trustee Services.

Our main office is in beautiful downtown Prescott, in a historic bank building overlooking the Courthouse Plaza.You can find our Prescott Office at 101 E. Gurley Street, Suite 211. It is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 to 5:00 and Friday 8:00 to 12:00.
